Peek Calendar - Simple & Minimalist Cal App Reviews

I love the design and ux of this app. You cant make notes on events though so I still use iCal for events where I need to mark more info. So it is nice that they can sync.

Ive been using this app for the past week and its quite efficient in what it was designed to do. Its simplicity and user interface is quite slick and provides me with enough information at a quick glance of what I have to do and whats coming up. Though this app is not great for heavy calendar users its great for the casual user like a university student(me) who needs to check what they have to do today. Cant wait to see more updates to this beautiful and elegant app. Though this review seems to be quite positive I do have one suggestion for a future update and that is to add a repeat ending future. Right now I have to go to the iOS 7 main calendar app to do such a change.

Had high hopes for this app but found its "minimalist" to the point of being broken. The biggest shortcoming for me is the assumption made about how people think about their time. For noting short events like 1-hour meetings, the time picker is great. But try having to mentally figure out how many hours and minutes long an event from 7:35 am to 5:50 pm is... Adding multiple-day events is also frustratingly oversimplified. Events and appointments often have start and end times; its obvious that you would need this information in order to plan your day. Theres also a bug where events occasionally get saved to the wrong day -- which can be disastrous. Finally, the gestures are not intuitive and difficult to remember. I think Peek needs to do some serious usability testing to bring this product up to the promise of its product video. For now I am going back to iOSs ugly-but-functional calendar app.

Very aesthetically pleasing for sure and love the weekly view. Only suggestions I would have is to replace the swipe left for duration with the end time of the event, or at least have that as an optional setting, and have the option to view a list of all events for about the next month like you can on default calendar. Otherwise a very attractive, useful app; more intuitive than the iOS calendar, in my opinion.

The best calendar app but with the new update it keeps crashing. Please fix.

App looks cool, but cant add new events. Flashes "added" graphic, but event isnt there.

I have Canadian holidays in my Apple Calendar but not US. Peek picks up all my other Calendar entries but not Canadian holidays. It shows US holidays which are not in my Calendar. Otherwise, seems like an okay calendar, but don’t fully trust what it might be leaving out.

iOS 8 was released to developers 11 months ago, yet Square Mountains has STILL not bothered to optimize Peek for iPhone 6 or 6 Plus. So the keyboard looks like it belongs to one of those dated apps that has been long forgotten about.

Lost all my scheduled events, and wont let me make new ones. Please save me

I used to love using it as a "peek" into my daily appointments. Great design & it works. But after update it no longer shows duration and location which makes it useless. Plz fix!

I like this app. Simple and beautiful. I learned some gestures easily. Please add a status bar. I want to see the time when I add a new event. I want to go back to today immediately from anywhere.

Cool folding effect and specially I love the drag effect on duration setup, and time picker by smooth drum slide effect. Only one thing I wish you added is "back-to-today" shortcut button or gesture. I believe you will add it later versions. Ganbatte!

I LOVE this app but one thing is clearly missing, todays date should be displayed on the app icon. Without that, itll never be a first page app.

Peeks UI is very useful and cool! Latest update is nice,too. Ive been wanted peek to moving event, so that is wonderful:-) Im looking forward to this app to be more cool and useful! Thanks to developed Peek!

Love the app, nice and simple but doesnt save new events that Ive entered. As soon as I tap the tick button, it goes back to the main calendar screen without saving the event I just entered. Hope you can fix it soon with an update cos I would hate to stop using this cool app!

I think if I can set the time of afternoon by one action, that is great
